Founded by Laurie Atkins, Optics The Family Optometrist first opened its doors to Hornsby in 1979 in the Northgate Shopping Centre, which later became the Westfield Shopping Centre.

After further expansion, Paul Scholberg joined our practice in 1984 as did Henny Suksmono in 1998, Mi Ja (Midge) Choi in 1999 and Michelle Jedwood in 2003. After running a successful practice of his own since 1981, we were delighted to be joined by Philip Gnauck in 2010.

Granata Eyecare has now joined Optics and we welcome all their clients to come and see us at our premises in Hunter Street
